Farris Cadle does personal research in the areas of land surveying, land titles, and legal history. He has fourteen years of surveying experience and more than twenty years of title abstracting experience. He has researched many titles back to original crown or state grants. Since 1975 he has performed research in courthouses and in dozens of the major research libraries and archives throughout the United States and Great Britain, including the National Archives of both the United States and Great Britain, concentrating on records dealing with land. He has carefully studied most of the major American and British treatises on real property law and has read thousands of cases on the subject. He is a registered land surveyor in Georgia and an adjunct professor of surveying law at Middle Georgia State College.
